When Megan Turco, owner of Arc Bridal, first approached me to help furnish and finish out the design of her new bridal boutique -- I immediately resonated with her vision! She wanted a space that was strong, feminine, but without the fluff -- her highly curated selection of designer wedding gowns are modern, clean, and refreshingly sleek. It was important to the project that the interiors matched this alternative approach to everything bridal.
A 9' long curved, Turner indigo velvet sofa is the perfect seating for family & friends of the bride to relax and socialize while the bride tries on Megan's stunning assortment of bridal options. We wanted to ensure the seating was firm yet comfortable for a variety of body types and generations. Not to mention -- drop dead gorgeous!!!
Office seating doesn't have to be drab -- this tailored, embroidered pinstripe custom desk chair by Verellen is a nod to the couture dressmaker details of the gowns. I'm obsessed with the grey washed Ash wooden base -- a detail hard to find anywhere except Verellen!
The sleek fitting room curtains were a custom installation by Kathleen Connor, owner of Among Other Things at 75th & Pacific Streets.
Naturally dyed silk pillows adorn our beloved Coin Sofa by Cisco Brothers x John Derian. Styled in a black linen with antique white legs -- this knock-out piece is a perfect gathering spot in the front of the shop.
I wanted Megan's desk to feel a little bit rock and roll. We paired a grand, reclaimed wooden desk in a glossy black finish with the more tailored Verellen custom desk chair, abstract reproduction framed art, and stunning mouth-blown glass & brass chandelier. Opposites attract -- the black desk & bench ground the high ceilings & natural light.
Megan sourced this incredible wallpaper and had it scaled to fit her wall flawlessly! We didn't want the space to feel matchy-matchy. This gorgeous rose colored 9' long tufted bench sets the stage for the second fitting room area.
We picked interesting furniture silhouettes to compliment Arc Bridal's beautiful logo and branding -- all about the visual balance between points & curves.
