"Laguna Farmhouse" // An Introduction

"Laguna Farmhouse" // An Introduction

We lovingly refer to this client's home as "Laguna Farmhouse" because since day one, her and I have bonded over our love of Cisco Brothers furniture and all things "California Modern Farmhouse".  One of the many things I love about this client is that she is a master of layering patterns and textiles throughout her home.  P.S. Her husband is a contractor and so every square inch of their home is perfection.  She would humbly say otherwise -- but I think the pictures speak for themselves!!!

Her home came together over a period of about 18 months through what felt like a series of two-way geeking-out texts.  We have a running joke that everything she loves is cursed with a back-order -- some things are worth the wait.  I would like to extend a sincere thank you to her family for allowing us to photograph their home -- with four kids, two cats, two dogs...it was no small favor to let us share the space for a few hours.

This is the Dalia Sectional ( the Dalia is now available as a Sofa! ) -- major SWOON.  It's slipcovered in 100% linen (thick and hearty).  Casual & so comfortable.  A lot of life happens in this room and the sofa rises to the occasion.  This line is American made in Los Angeles -- we are your midwest resource for all things Cisco Brothers!  They designed their kitchen (C tile fans anyone?!?) The contrast kitchen cabinets stopped us in our tracks.

In this open concept area -- you may spy some Josh Young limited edition art (we have a few pieces left in the shop). The rug is an original Scandinavian design (limited quantities available) in 100% woven wool. It's perfect for high traffic and pets -- minimal shedding! These rugs are easy to spot clean at home with baby shampoo or can be professionally cleaned.

The slipcovered ottoman was designed by the client and I to match the sectional.  We partner with local reupholsters to bring your vision to life and source gorgeous, durable fabrics.
It can be challenging to find a side table in the right size when you have a deep, juicy sofa.  End tables can be swallowed by the an oversized sectional.  This Danish side table is larger than your average end table and can comfortably hold magazines, remotes, or even a lamp.
The homeowners opted to reserve their mantel for a striking piece of art rather than a mounted tv.  I love her mismatched approach to the feature wall -- we found the elm console and love how it feels in the space.  We kept the mantel decor simple with a striking organic shaped vase and some taper holders.

To be completely honest -- we are a little overwhelmed by all the gorgeousness this home holds.  Terrible problem to have...right?!?!? We will be sharing more behind-the-scenes looks over the next few weeks!
